Automatic Number Plate Recognition Systems for Car Park
ANPR Systems:
Automatic Number Plate Recognition Systems are becoming more widely used for Car Parks where full automation is needed. Telematics can supply and install full automatic car park solutions from number plate recognition, barrier systems and payment metering systems. These can all be integrated into one package giving a complete fully automated Car Park Management System.
How it works:
As vehicles approach the barrier, the ANPR camera reads the number plate. This is logged onto the computer database with details and date/time. The barrier arm lifts and lets the vehicle enter for the desired time.
On exit, the vehicle approaches the barrier, the ANPR camera reads the number plate and the computer works out the payment for the duration of stay and displays it on the payment machine. Once the payment is received, the barrier will lift and the vehicle can exit.
